Special Interest Group (SIG) is the grouping of the registered members to their areas of interests and contributions within the association. It must be mentioned however that our primary goal is on advocacy work. In addition to this, we will have to work with Government and other stakeholders in advancing public health interests.

The Executive Council had decided that we start our work under three key focus areas namely;

  1. Governance

2. Health system strengthening

3. Health promotion and health protection.

Indeed, there could be other groupings under these 3 focuses depending on expressed needs or special programmes. As an example, mental health, has been identified as needing advocacy support.
